📋 Description

• Conduct legal research related to cases • Assemble case materials and organize information for legal documents • Write research memos and draft pleadings and motions under attorney guidance • Analyze legal issues and determine applicable defenses, arguments, and litigation strategy • Prepare briefs, legal memoranda, and statements of issues with recommendations • Review filed complaints, petitions, and motions • Prepare responsive pleadings and correspondence • Support trial attorneys with trial, mediation, and arbitration documents and binders • Attend court sessions, depositions, mediations, and trials and document necessary case information

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors Degree required • Second or third year law student required • Interest in civil litigation, personal injury or insurance defense required • Preferred candidate will have some experience drafting motions • Available approximately 20 hours/week during the semester • Ability to conduct legal research and analyze legal issues • Ability to prepare briefs, legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and correspondence • Ability to assist with trial, mediation, and arbitration documents and binders • Ability to attend court sessions, depositions, mediations, and trials • Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods • Must be located in California
