📋 Description

• Support plain-language communications and accessibility outreach services across multiple platforms and formats, including fact sheets, infographics, social media messages, and television and radio public service announcements • Design infographics and other graphics for incorporation into HHS OMH materials • Provide graphic design support and consultation for fact sheets, infographics, posters, brochures, and similar materials • Ensure designs align with HHS OMH brand guidelines and style guides • Recreate documents in Adobe InDesign • Revise PDF documents according to Project Manager and HHS OMH direction promptly • Manage multiple graphic design and PDF layout tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment • Attend and contribute to project status update meetings at least biweekly • Help HHS OMH communicate more effectively with limited English proficiency communities and improve access to health and wellness information

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a similar field of study • At least three years of experience providing graphic design and/or PDF layout support • At least three years of professional experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe InDesign and Illustrator • Ability to juggle multiple graphic design and PDF layout tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment • Must be eligible for an HHS Public Trust security clearance • Intermediate or advanced 508 compliance skills in Microsoft 365 or Adobe Acrobat preferred but not required • Experience using human-centered design principles preferred but not required • Experience with HTML, CSS, and video editing software preferred but not required • Federal government, government contracting, or public health experience preferred but not required
