📋 Description

• Provide operations leadership and management support for Ebola response activities across multiple countries • Lead response activation, surge staffing, consultant support, travel, procurement, budget tracking, issue escalation, and follow-up • Build team capacity for emergency operations, surge support, field coordination, documentation, and compliance • Coordinate with HQ, country teams, the Ebola Response Incident Management Team, technical counterparts, governments, donors, and implementing partners • Manage budget tracking, security coordination, duty of care, knowledge management, and operational risk management • Document and disseminate lessons learned and best practices • Support response planning and resource mobilization by identifying operational gaps, surge needs, and programming opportunities • Ensure routine field monitoring visits for donor compliance, implementation quality, operational readiness, safety, and bottleneck resolution • Coordinate budget management, expense control, contractual documentation, procurement, staffing and consultant requests, travel approvals, and budget monitoring • Support monthly documentation reviews and meetings, including action-item follow-up • Collaborate with Finance to mitigate risks and ensure understanding of financial and administrative processes • Represent the organization to implementing partners, governments, and donors • Assist senior management with donor relationships, response briefings, visits, and advocacy • Maintain cooperation with partner organizations • Serve as focal point for Ebola-related communications between HQ, country teams, regional stakeholders, and technical response leads • Track Ebola response, recovery, and preparedness funding opportunities • Coordinate operational inputs to donor communications, situational updates, decision briefs, after-action reviews, and advocacy efforts • Manage several staff and foster a results-focused, learning-oriented, accountable, open, and collaborative supervisory environment • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent in Communication and Social Marketing, Economic Development, Education, Health, Nutrition, Research, Technology and Youth, or a related field • 10+ years of relevant experience in business administration, project management transformation, change management, strategy consulting, or internal corporate strategy • 3+ years of management experience • Demonstrated experience supporting outbreak response, humanitarian emergencies, or public health crisis operations • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, partners, and stakeholders in complex and rapidly changing environments • Demonstrated experience in sector-specific or multi-sector project management and implementation • Experience operating in insecure environments • Experience working in a non-governmental organization (NGO) • Effective knowledge of global health security and infectious disease emergency and outbreak response activities funded by US government or other international donors • Knowledge of funding mechanisms, general contracting, and reporting requirements • Knowledge of donor planning and reporting systems used in emergency or outbreak response settings • Knowledge of business development and resource mobilization processes, including proposal development for emergency response, recovery, preparedness, or global health security programming within an international NGO context • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong awareness of cultural differences and political and ethical considerations in international settings • Project Management (PM) Certification preferred • Native or fluent French language skills considered an advantage • Ability to use Microsoft applications including Office 365, SharePoint, Skype/Zoom/Teams • Ability to travel greater than 25% • Must complete applicable screening checks and sign the code of conduct
