• Lead EpiC, an eight-year global health initiative funded by PEPFAR and the US Government • Achieve the project’s vision, strategy, results, and contractual deliverables • Direct the project technical team and manage national and international partner and stakeholder relationships • Lead final-year implementation and ensure compliant closeout through December 2027 • Execute overall project work plans and monitor implementation activities • Provide managerial oversight of project activities and transition activities to other mechanisms as applicable • Ensure compliance with donor, organizational, and project-specific policies • Submit contractual deliverables and responses to donor requests for performance, success stories, and financial information • Oversee technical assistance, administrative support, subcontract, and sub-grant closeout activities • Address sub-award and contract implementation issues, modifications, compliance, disputes, and audit findings • Oversee financial management systems, budgets, and timely financial deliverables with the Director of Finance • Supervise, mentor, motivate, and develop the project team • Maintain safe, equitable, harassment-free, and violence-free work environments and safeguarding systems • Execute personnel policies and communicate procedures to staff • Serve as primary contact for the Department of State Grants Officer Representative • Ensure effective communication across the project and with internal and external stakeholders • Maintain partner and stakeholder networks and represent the project on steering and advisory groups • Report to the Vice President, Health Programs and supervise senior team members in a matrixed structure • Set project goals and budgets, coordinate cross-functional resources, resolve project issues, and facilitate team discussions
• Master’s Degree or its International Equivalent in Communication and Social Marketing, Economic Development, Education, Health, Nutrition, Research, Technology and Youth or a related field • Typically requires 15+ years of relevant experience with project management principles and practices • Typically requires 10+ years of strategic leadership and/or management experience • Minimum 5+ years of Chief of Party, Principal Investigator, or Project Director experience on USG-funded global health projects • Proficient with USG rules, regulations, and policies associated with international development and NGOs • Experience in multi-sector project management and implementation • Strategic planning, staff development, and capacity building experience • Experience leading and managing complex, strategic, international projects • Experience operating in insecure environments • Experience successfully closing out USG-funded projects, preferably global, multi-country projects • Experience working in an NGO • Excellent management, communication, and organization skills • Knowledge of project management, process development, and execution • Knowledge of nonprofit funding streams • Strong time management, multitasking, organizational, negotiation, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated public relations, policy development, project management, and diplomacy skills • Ability to build working relationships with local communities, government officials, UN representatives, and donors • Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking required • Ability to use personal computers, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Skype/Zoom/Teams, mobile technology, and standard office equipment • Project Management (PM) Certification preferred • Willingness/ability to travel 10%–25% • Successful completion of reference, criminal record, terrorism finance, and misconduct disclosure screening checks
