• Provide online one-on-one writing consultations and paper reviews for students in the Resident Education Program (REP), Distance Education Program (DEP), Blended Education Program (BEP), Basic Strategic Arts Program (BSAP), and AWC Fellows Program. • Provide feedback and guidance on course papers and research projects related to pre-writing strategies, argumentation, organization, style, grammar, and mechanics. • Support the Army War College remotely as an ACL Lab Writing Coach.
• Pass a background check. • Possess a minimum Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in English, rhetoric, communication studies, or other closely aligned discipline. • Be proficient in English. • Experience tutoring students in writing in an academic setting. • At least a basic knowledge of writing center scholarship, theories, and practices. • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365. • Ability to perform word processing and data entry tasks associated with evaluating and electronically annotating student writing submissions and recording correspondence and consultations. • Strong experience instructing English as a Second Language students (preferred qualification).
