📋 Description

• Manage all aspects of the closing process from approval through funding • Maintain accurate and complete files meeting SBA and internal bank requirements • Manage, coach, mentor, and develop assigned staff • Serve as lead trainer and protocol developer as needed • Organize files according to the file folder hierarchy • Communicate with customers and applicable third parties to gather and synthesize required information • Analyze files and prepare closing checklists based on loan approval and loan type • Run and review third-party reports and public website data, including OFAC, SAMS, and CAVIRS • Order appraisals, environmental reports, business valuations, equipment appraisals, and title work • Review closing documentation, insurance certificates, title commitments, and closing statements • Prepare IRS 8821 forms, order IRS tax transcripts, and prepare loan closing documents in LaserPro • Manage multiple loan requests and deadlines in a time-sensitive environment • Review loan packages, analyze requirements, and determine closing requirements • Provide initial feedback to underwriters on purchase agreements and leases • File UCCs to perfect the bank’s lien position on business asset collateral • Complete loan file due diligence and assist with pre-close file reviews • Determine when loans are ready to close and requirements to perfect security interests • Negotiate landlord waivers while meeting SBA requirements • Work on larger and more complex loans • Assist with developing department procedures and protocols • Carry out other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant field • 7+ years of related experience • Demonstrated management, leadership and coaching skills • LaserPro experience • Flexibility and adaptability/collaboration skills • Excellent listening skills and coachability • Ability to problem-solve and think proactively • Proficient with Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, Excel • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple loan submissions/tasks in various stages simultaneously • Intermediate knowledge of SBA SOP • Knowledge and understanding of Bank Loan Closing Process • Ability to determine what is required to perfect security interest in collateral • Compliance with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to the job function
