📋 Description

• Plan, prepare, and implement instructional activities • Create and modify instructional resources for students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs • Assess changing curricular needs and offer improvement plans • Maintain effective and efficient records • Provide a positive environment supporting active student engagement • Communicate with students, parents, and internal and external professionals within established timelines • Collaborate with peers through team teaching, meetings, staff development, communities of practice, and committees • Model professional and ethical standards • Ensure continuous and appropriate student growth and achievement • Establish cooperative working relationships with students, parents, schools, and colleagues • Meet course and school-wide student performance goals and demonstrate gains in student performance • Participate in research and presentations about online teaching, including authoring articles, hosting workshops, professional growth activities, and student outreach • Participate in blended learning with online and classroom instruction across schools and districts; report to an assigned school when required • Provide instructional tutoring when responsible • Meet professional obligations, deadlines, schedules, and coordination requirements • Perform other job-related duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree • Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in the assigned content area OR proof of active enrollment in a state-approved EPI or MAT program AND either a valid Florida state-issued Statement of Eligibility OR valid Temporary Certificate in the assigned content area • Endorsements as required by the Florida Department of Education • Florida residency • Operational knowledge of the Internet and Web-related technologies • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision • Ability to collaborate on group projects and work as part of a team • Responsibility, accountability, and self-motivation • Strong work ethic to achieve school goals • Effective prioritizing, organizing, and time-management skills; ability to meet aggressive deadlines • Ability to learn and apply required and recommended FLVS computer applications • Ability to support FLVS core competencies, values, and expectations for student-centered behaviors
