📋 Description

• Provide leadership, expertise and high-level technical support for compliance implementation in research and program learning • Review human subjects research (HSR) and non-research determination (NRD) submissions to IRBHelp • Provide timely, specific feedback and recommend research or non-research determinations, or return submissions for revision • Meet with project teams to provide concrete feedback and improve HSR and NRD submission quality • Support development and implementation of data management plans • Support data compliance during project closeout, including compliance with donor, Jhpiego, JHU and national policies and guidelines • Ensure proper data handling, storage and disposition at closeout • Maintain organized data files and metadata • Coordinate with the IRBHelp team • Maintain submission tracking and report review status and turnaround times

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in public health (international health, epidemiology, biostatistics, population), statistics, research, economics, behavioral science, or related field • 5-7 years of progressively responsible technical experience, including implementing and/or managing Research Compliance for international field-based research and program learning • In-depth knowledge of US IRB exemption categories (45 CFR 46) • Strong technical background in IRB and Research Compliance, including management, technical support, international research, sociobehavioral learning and other program learning • Technical experience in regulatory and ethical review of research protocols • Experience making non-research and non-human subjects research determinations • Knowledge of research compliance monitoring techniques • Experience designing research compliance monitoring • Experience in implementation research using quantitative and qualitative methods • Understanding of donor and country government research and data compliance requirements • Understanding of USG regulations regarding Federal Wide Assurance (FWA) and reporting to OHRP • Experience working in challenging environments in Africa, Asia or LAC regions • Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced, multicultural environment with multiple tasks and short deadlines • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong technical writing and presentation skills • Prolonged sitting more than 50% of the time • Fluency in English required • Fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese preferred
