📋 Description

• Support the design lead with research planning and execution • Own outreach and recruitment of grant recipients for interviews, usability testing, and related research • Use AI to support research processes and help determine best practices and standards • Map current grant reporting workflows with the design lead, identifying pain points and opportunities to reduce burden • Package research findings for product and engineering to inform priorities and key decisions • Run discovery and validation in parallel with delivery while adapting to shifting priorities • Build strong relationships with current clients and other program offices across ACF • Facilitate client discussions and guide different perspectives toward shared direction • Document processes and outcomes for client-facing communications • Maintain internal design artifacts and the research repository • Contribute to wireframing and prototyping as needed • Perform content design work as needed • Use AI to build research workflows and repositories

🎯 Requirements

• 2–5 years of practical experience in service design and/or UX research • Strong client management and communication skills • Experience working within cross-functional teams • Ability to obtain and hold a federal public trust clearance • Lived in the U.S. for 3 out of the last 5 years • Experience designing digital forms and the workflows around them (nice to have)
