📋 Description

• Validate propulsive controls for Ford's Core Vehicle Controls Software team • Develop robust verification methods and write automated test scripts (Python) • Support test execution and demonstrate results through data analysis and reporting • Test Ford’s latest powertrain control strategies in-vehicle and/or in a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) environment. • Collaborate with the team to implement new verification methods and maintain test scripts in version control system.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree • 3+ years’ experience in automotive embedded systems software • Solid understanding of CAN networks and OBD systems and demonstrated ability to utilize CAN and diagnostics tools (CANalyzer, PTDiag, etc.) • Understanding of calibration methodologies and demonstrated ability to utilize calibration tools (ATI Vision and ETAS INCA) • Understanding of Module Hardware/Software Architectures (PCM, HCM, TCM, BCM, Satellite processors – ABS, SJB…) • Must have a valid driver’s license • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field (even better) • Valid Ford Tier II certification or ability to attain it (even better) • Must be capable of performing normal driving procedures on public roads in various conditions and in all Ford produced vehicles (even better) • Solid understanding of vehicle structure, subsystems, and components (GAS, HEV and BEV) (even better) • Familiar with module emulators and interfaces (M5, M6, A7, A8, etk, xetk) (even better) • Understanding of testing methodologies and ability to utilize test equipment (multi meter, scope, logic analyzer, etc.) (even better) • Debug of complex vehicle systems (both software and hardware) (even better) • Good understanding of bench testing environments and capabilities (even better) • Understanding of the software build and release process (even better) • Experience with Python, Visual Basic, C/C++, JIRA, CFX, ECUTest (even better) • Technical writing and data presentation skills helpful (even better).
