• Serve as the primary client contact for project activities, including scope development, proposal support, conflict resolution, and long-term relationship management • Lead the planning and execution of multi-discipline capital projects within budget, schedule, and contractual requirements • Manage project execution from scope definition through engineering, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and start-up • Direct and coordinate engineering teams, subcontractors, vendors, OEM service representatives, and contractors • Manage project scope changes and ensure they are documented, evaluated, and executed • Coordinate procurement activities, including bid solicitation, evaluation, contract awards, and equipment purchasing strategies • Partner with construction management during installation, technical check-out, and start-up • Develop and promote compliance with project-specific and client safety standards • Identify and implement corrective actions for project challenges • Identify opportunities for improved project execution, operational efficiency, and future business development • Participate in client-facing presentations, project reviews, and proposal development • Travel approximately 25–35% for project planning, design reviews, installations, start-ups, and troubleshooting
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Paper Science, or related discipline) or equivalent technical experience • 5+ years of project management experience leading capital projects in manufacturing environments • Experience in paper converting, paper manufacturing, tissue, or related paper products industries • Experience leading multi-discipline project teams through planning, design, procurement, construction, and start-up • Experience developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies • Experience using project management tools for schedule and financial tracking • Approximately 25–35% travel required • Preferred: 10+ years in paper, converting, tissue, packaging, or broader pulp and paper industry • Preferred: 7+ years leading multi-discipline engineering teams • PMP certification or ability to obtain • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred • Consulting environment experience preferred • Experience with lump sum, time and materials, and guaranteed maximum price contracting models preferred • Strong communication and presentation experience preferred
