📋 Description

• Serve as Fringe's in-house finance and accounting leader • Own the monthly close, including the close calendar, journal entries, reconciliations, and sign-off across subscription and marketplace revenue • Own revenue recognition under ASC 606 for PEPM subscriptions, employer-funded marketplace spend, gifting, and partner revenue share • Maintain deferred revenue and points liability roll-forwards • Keep the balance sheet clean and explainable • Produce internal and external monthly reporting, including variance and flux analysis and the executive dashboard • Support annual audit and tax processes with outside CPA firms • Manage treasury and cash forecasting, bank relationships, operating balances, outbound wires, and ACH payments • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, customer invoicing, billing accuracy, and vendor payment runs • Work with Customer Success on collections and People Operations on payroll and the PEO • Review accounting work and ensure a high standard • Act as the main internal point of contact for finance matters, including contract terms, vendor questions, funding schedules, commission plans, and budgets • Identify and fix processes that slow the business down • Drive operational improvement

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience • Deep understanding of GAAP, especially ASC 606 • Hands-on experience running monthly close procedures • Experience meeting internal and external reporting requirements • Familiarity with an accounting tech stack and advanced spreadsheet skills • Experience with QuickBooks, Tabs, Anrok, FloQast, Salesforce, Claude, and Google Sheets • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills • Ability to drive operational improvement • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience at Big 4, a high-growth startup, management consulting, or investment banking preferred • CPA active or license applicant preferred • SaaS or marketplace experience preferred, especially with deferred revenue, points or stored value, or multi-party revenue
