📋 Description

• Provide professional and responsive customer service to insureds • Review and adjust first-party claims within assigned authority limits • Research policy coverage forms for claim settlement or denial • Conduct basic claim investigations at desk and field levels, including coverage, cause, and damages • Contact insureds to schedule damaged-property inspections • Travel to affected properties and conduct timely inspections • Inspect, photograph, sketch, and scope damaged and undamaged areas of insured properties • Determine the total value of claims • Utilize several software programs to determine loss parameters • Establish claim reserves according to guidelines • Provide verbal and written customer service • Document claim activity and potential subrogation • Participate in training and claim roundtables • Prepare basic claim correspondence, including reservation-of-rights and denial letters • Assist with catastrophe operations, including extra hours or deployment to affected areas • Assist with special projects or tasks as required

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Some college preferred • Minimum 2 years field experience with an insurance carrier • Proficient in Xactimate • Strong communication and organizational skills • Basic computer proficiency • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence • Must maintain required licenses
