📋 Description

• Define the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for FuzeRx’s B2B and consumer platforms • Drive decisions around microservices design, API design, database schemas, and data pipelines • Write clean, optimized, and maintainable code for critical system components • Establish engineering standards and champion rigorous code reviews and modern testing practices • Own reliability and performance of core platforms • Diagnose and resolve complex systemic issues • Optimize heavy PostgreSQL workloads • Architect high-throughput infrastructure on AWS • Act as a technical consultant and mentor across multiple agile squads • Break down ambiguous, large-scale technical problems into actionable execution phases • Partner with Product Managers, Pharmacy Operations, and Engineering Managers on feasibility, roadmaps, and technology choices • Architect systems with privacy by design and ensure compliance with HIPAA and SOC2 • Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and patterns • Build prototypes and proofs-of-concept before wider engineering rollout

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering • At least 2+ years acting as a Tech Lead, Architect, or Staff Engineer designing complex systems • Proven track record designing, building, and scaling high-volume API-led transactional or logistical platforms • Experience building LLM-enabled applications using orchestration, evaluation, and observability tools such as LangGraph, Mastra, Temporal, LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, Braintrust, or Langfuse • Strong relational database skills, including query optimization and data modeling • Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm • Exceptional ability to articulate complex architectural trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Demonstrated success collaborating with Product Management, Design, and other business partners • Availability during standard business hours and for critical tier-3 escalation architecture support if needed • Significant product development experience with Ruby, Python, and/or TypeScript/JavaScript • Prior engineering experience in Pharmacy Tech, Digital Health, or regulated FinTech/HealthTech environments preferred • History of leading major architecture modernization projects preferred • Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods and perform the stated physical requirements • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is unavailable
