📋 Description

• Lead a cross-functional group of engineers across iOS, Android, and backend platforms • Partner closely with Product and Design • Improve the speed, reliability, and ease of covering games • Coach and develop engineers through clear expectations, growth opportunities, feedback, and accountability • Define delivery goals and shape priorities with cross-functional partners • Navigate trade-offs and surface risks proactively • Set and maintain standards for engineering craft and system reliability • Hire and onboard strong engineers • Evaluate values alignment, skill fit, and AI fluency • Contribute to engineering culture and organizational effectiveness through cross-team initiatives • Report to the Director of Engineering for Basketball

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years leading engineering teams • 6+ years of software development experience • Track record of managing and growing engineering talent at all levels • Technical depth in one or more areas of the technology stack • Breadth sufficient to engage in architecture conversations • Ability to uphold standards for quality and reliability • Good product instincts and ability to partner with Product and Design • Ability to align priorities to drive meaningful outcomes • Active development of AI fluency • Ability to help the team develop AI fluency • High standards for judgment and ownership • Must be based in the United States; unable to hire in AK, DE, HI, IA, LA, MS, MT, OK, or SC • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Must be 18 years of age or older
