📋 Description

• Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom • Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes • Respond to students’ questions and emails within established timeframes • Support the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University • Teach Counseling Skills and potentially courses including Substance Use Disorders and Addictions, Group Counseling, Counseling Couples and Families, Assessment, Tests, and Measurements, Career Counseling, Principles of Psychopharmacology, Human Sexuality and Issues of Aging, Research Methods and Program Evaluation, Abuse, Crisis, and Trauma Counseling, and/or Clinical Assessment, Diagnosis, and Treatment

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Counselor Education and independent licensure in counseling or a closely related field (e.g., LPC, LMHC, LCPC, or equivalent) • OR Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related counseling degree AND 5 years work experience as an Independent Licensed Counselor • Maintain an active membership in a recognized counseling association • Evidence of experience in one or more of: counseling advocacy; research or other scholarly work; at least two years of clinical practice; or counselor education • Attach unofficial transcripts for applicable conferred graduate degrees • Attach applicable licenses/certifications
