📋 Description

• Review case reports to determine necessary supporting documentation for case follow-up based on Government guidelines • Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness • Compose clinical abstracts from medical records and information received for cases in clinical follow-up • Add medical codes using MedDRA medical coding terminology to define symptoms • Update the VAERS database with information obtained through clinical follow-up • Perform quality-control reviews of MedDRA codes added by medical coding staff to initial reports • Collaborate with other units to support daily operations • Triage VAERS reports for priority and assignment

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of related experience • 2 years of nursing, clinical, or public health experience • Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred, or clinical healthcare provider • Medical abstracting and coding experience with MedDRA, ICD-10, and CPT preferred • Case management experience • Proficiency in current computer technology • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while adhering to deadlines • No US citizenship required • No clearance required
