📋 Description

• Provide UX design subject matter expertise and strategic guidance using Human-Centered Design and design-thinking methodologies • Provide Information Architecture subject matter expertise, including structures, navigation models, taxonomies, labeling systems, content hierarchies, and information relationships • Create UX research plans, outcomes, write-ups, checklists, and next steps for each use case • Facilitate generative research and discovery activities with users and business stakeholders • Assess current features, content, Information Architecture, accessibility, business processes, data, and analytics • Partner and collaborate across Product Teams to integrate tools and services into existing structures • Establish consistent navigation, terminology, categorization, and information structures • Lead UI design and development for applications • Provide actionable interface design specifications to development teams • Design dynamic forms, rich cards, drag-and-drop features, wireframes, prototypes, and interactive web forms • Define and maintain UX frameworks, templates, design standards, and Information Architecture governance • Apply research insights to define product functionality, epics, user stories, and operational, business, functional, technical, data, and integration requirements • Synthesize research findings and communicate insights through reports, stories, videos, and storyboards • Perform requirements analysis and obtain stakeholder input • Develop user personas, customer journeys, user journeys, workflows, and empathy maps • Map journeys, content, and functionality to an overall Information Architecture • Collaborate with product owners, developers, designers, and other cross-functional teams • Conduct usability testing and analyze results to refine designs • Write and edit plain-language content for development teams • Establish user-centered terminology and labeling conventions • Work with ReactJS, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Tailwind • Design within a microservice architecture

🎯 Requirements

• MA/MS plus 10+ years of general experience in information systems with 8+ years of specialized experience • HS with 16+ years, AA/AS with 14+ years, BA/BS with 12+ years, or Doctorate Degree/Ph.D. with 9+ years • Familiarity with front-end development, ReactJS, and JavaScript • Familiarity with UX, information architecture, content strategy, and user-centered design best practices • Extensive experience developing Information Architecture for complex enterprise applications • Experience with card sorting, tree testing, content inventories, taxonomy evaluation, and navigation testing • Experience creating IA deliverables including site maps, application maps, navigation models, taxonomy documentation, content hierarchies, and IA diagrams • Experience designing software aligned with strategic business needs and goals • Experience researching advanced technologies to determine how IT can support business needs • Experience with Figma or related design tools • Experience with usability testing tools • UI/UX design portfolio including Information Architecture deliverables and complex enterprise applications or digital products • Experience designing dynamic forms • Extensive experience creating CSS cards and drag-and-drop functionality • Experience with UX strategy, user research, interviews, surveys, usability studies, personas, journey maps, and empathy maps • Experience with competitive analysis, market assessments, and heuristic evaluations • Hands-on experience developing and testing wireframes and prototypes • Detailed knowledge of Section 508 requirements and experience designing 508-compliant interfaces • Understanding of accessible Information Architecture • Experience defining and maintaining design standards and IA governance • Extensive experience with Jira and Confluence • Experience in an agile environment with knowledge of SAFe • Understanding of Agile methodologies • Excellent presentation and oral and written communication skills • Ability to work with high-level customer stakeholders • Experience identifying and applying industry tools, solutions, methods, best practices, and emerging technologies • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, leadership, and meeting facilitation skills • Experience with process design, documentation, process and use-case modeling, and business case development • Ability to facilitate IA workshops and alignment sessions • Ability to communicate IA decisions to technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
