📋 Description

• Support Vertical Launch System (VLS) systems technical data documentation requirements for the US Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) • Provide technical editing support for reviewing and developing VLS technical manuals, procedures and processes • Publish materials in Adobe FrameMaker, Quicksilver, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), MS Office applications and Adobe PDFs • Gather, process, analyze, reconcile and enter VLS systems engineering data and fleet modernization data • Support Technical Manuals, IETMs, Ship Alteration Systems, Temporary Alteration Records, Engineering Change Orders, Engineering Change Proposals and Navy Training System Plans • Collaborate with team members on development, production and distribution of VLS documentation materials within GDIT and to government customers

🎯 Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required • Must be a US Citizen • Bachelor’s degree in any field with 5+ years of professional experience in technical editing; additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with technical personnel developing and publishing technical materials • Experience developing and publishing Technical Manuals in Adobe FrameMaker and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) • Experience using SGML applications such as Arbortext or MadCap Flare • Proficient in Microsoft Office software • Previous US Navy VLS background preferred but not required • Skills: Arbortext, Technical Manuals, Technical Procedures • Certifications: None
