• Engage with FLIGHT DECK and industrial engineering users across part families, shop operations, and supporting cross-functional teams • Develop competency in Industrial Engineering Methods and Lean tools and coach associates in Lean/FLIGHT DECK principles • Partner with local Operations, FLIGHT DECK, and Industrial Engineering Leaders to develop and execute the Capacity Utilization process • Improve workflow by studying process flow charts, recommending workflow and workstation modifications, and developing new procedures • Design, develop, and deploy manufacturing systems focused on machining lines and hard/soft capacity balancing • Improve labor and machine utilization through work-method, layout, and equipment-modification analysis • Create Standard Work and implement visual management for material flow and process optimization • Share advanced industrial engineering process flows and workstreams as Best Practice Standards across the manufacturing network • Apply Lean Process Improvement methodologies to address complicated and interdependent processes, develop execution plans, and communicate benefits and risks • Facilitate kaizen events, problem solving, process improvement initiatives, and direct labor productivity improvements • Optimize material flow, asset utilization, and resource capacity • Lead functional teams or projects and influence decisions on complex topics • Travel up to 60% and attend in-person New Hire Orientation on Day 1
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Industrial Engineering Degree Preferred) • Minimum of 5 years experience facilitating lean transformations in manufacturing and supply chain operations • Willing to travel up to 60% of the time • Demonstrated experience with designing, developing, and deploying manufacturing systems, with emphasis on machining lines and balancing hard/soft capacity • Demonstrated experience using operator balance charts, machine capacity analysis, standard work, time study, SMED, structured problem solving, daily management, and OEE calculations • Layout and workstation planning experience • Knowledge and experience applying lean in transactional and shop floor situations, including standardized work, material and information flows, level production, and pull systems • Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a senior leader perspective and leverage lean to drive improvement • Ability to influence others and communicate effectively from the shop floor to the Boardroom • Ability to lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity • U.S. Person status required to access U.S. export-controlled information: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or protected individual with asylee or refugee status • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable • Employees may be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing
