• Respond to service calls and evaluate, diagnose, repair, and perform planned maintenance on customer biomedical equipment • Perform safety and environmental inspections and maintain effective customer relationships • Follow and guide others on GE policies, procedures, hospital protocols, and required documentation • Communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues • Establish proactive daily customer communications to ensure resolution and follow-up • Implement GE/customer facility contracts in support of business goals • Lead, instruct, and assist technicians with basic and complex repairs • Provide efficient service delivery to accounts within the assigned area • Share on-call/pager responsibility • Document repair actions and submit scheduled reports and summaries • Maintain spares, tools, test equipment, calibration, and approved parts inventory • Manage vendors' service delivery processes in compliance with GE policies • Maintain technical knowledge of current medical equipment standards, codes, and procedures • May serve as Site Leader and direct Biomedical Technicians and customer account activities • Meet Health and Human Services, environmental health and safety, regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements • Complete planned quality and compliance training and report customer quality or compliance concerns
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR equivalent military education and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical or mechanical equipment; OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment • Analytical and communication skills, with ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers • Successful completion of GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test • Compliance with customer access policies, including required immunizations and possible additional drug tests or background checks • Legally authorized to work in the United States; GE HealthCare will not sponsor employment visas • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods • Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity • Required vision abilities may include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception • Willingness to work after hours or a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends • Compliance with GEHC quality, safety, environmental, regulatory, and training requirements
