📋 Description

• Collect, compile, organize, and analyze spatial and tabular data to support GIS application development • Update and maintain complex database information using current technologies • Design, install, and configure ArcGIS Enterprise instances across multiple hardware servers • Manipulate structured data in databases, GIS, and spreadsheets using scripting languages, SQL, and GIS tools • Create products and models using Python scripting and process automation • Produce GIS technical recommendations, assessments, standard operating procedures, and administrative/help documentation • Perform spatial and non-spatial statistical and analytical work, including spatial aggregations, joins, neighborhood analysis, and raster analysis • Use Esri GIS toolsets, ArcGIS Online, and other cloud GIS tools for complex spatial analysis • Prepare static maps, interactive maps, and derived spatial data products • Develop strategies for real-time and big spatial datasets and prototype data needs with analysts, data scientists, engineers, modelers, and IT staff • Translate business-value goals into maps, visuals, and supporting data models • Write GIS strategic plans, policies, procedures, and technical documents for government audiences • Perform georeferencing, geoprocessing, geocoding, 3D corridor and surface modeling, linear referencing, publication, and web mapping service integration • Convert multiple data formats to spatial data and provide documentation and stakeholder training • Develop and customize tools for data loading, conversion, and web-based GIS applications • Provide GIS services including strategic planning, system design, implementation, and on-call maintenance for government clients

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in geospatial analysis using GIS or geospatial frameworks • Bachelor’s degree in geography or IT, or an advanced degree in geography or IT • Certification in geospatial technologies, including GISP, or ability to acquire certification within 6 months of employment • Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis • Expertise working with spatial data and stakeholders, including ill-defined datasets and problems • Experience designing, installing, and configuring ArcGIS Enterprise on multiple hardware servers • Experience working with structured data in databases, GIS, and spreadsheets • Proficiency with scripting languages, SQL, GIS, Python, and JavaScript • Technical knowledge of Esri software, especially ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, APIs, and associated solutions • Experience with statistical and spatial analysis techniques, including spatial aggregations and joins, neighborhood analysis, and raster analysis • Experience with ETL tools, FME, data interoperability, digitizing, geographic standards, coordinate systems, cartographic design, and raster/vector data creation and editing • Experience with georeferencing, geoprocessing, geocoding, 3D corridors and surface models, linear referencing, publication, and web mapping services • Experience converting multiple data formats to spatial data • Experience developing and customizing GIS data-loading, conversion, and web-application tools • Exceptional customer service orientation • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
