📋 Description

• Design and build durable, reusable Marketplace services and primitives, including purchase orders, contract terms, invoicing rails, and workflow/status state machines. • Build fine-grained microservices and asynchronous workflow orchestration using technologies such as Temporal. • Partner directly with customers to scope problems and ship new marketplace product versions within about 30 days. • Iterate weekly based on direct customer feedback and test product hypotheses. • Optimize workflows, click paths, product quality, craftsmanship, adoption, and usage for launched products. • Build and refine agent harnesses and layered prompting systems for real-world workflow automation. • Extract and reason over unstructured documents using AWS Textract, GCP Document AI, Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI. • Build and use internal evaluation tooling to test and improve AI systems before and after production launch. • Partner with product, design, sales, and the General Manager on customer problems, pricing, go-to-market, and scale/pivot/kill decisions. • Mentor engineers through code review and pairing. • Contribute to system design and architecture decisions. • Maintain service and product-API boundaries as Marketplace scales.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering. • Strong backend and distributed-systems fundamentals. • Experience designing reliable and maintainable services and APIs. • Hands-on experience building and shipping 0-to-1 products or features in a fast-iteration environment with real customers. • Experience using design-partner or similar product-validation approaches. • Experience building with or integrating multiple LLM providers, such as Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI. • Experience with document-extraction tooling, such as AWS Textract and GCP Document AI. • Ability to select between structured extraction tools and LLMs based on document and cost profile. • Experience building agent harnesses, RAG pipelines, or other AI/LLM-integrated workflows. • Experience with evaluation or testing practices for AI/LLM systems. • Comfort working across the stack in a full-stack-capable engineering role. • Genuine curiosity about customer problems, low ego, and preference for close product collaboration. • Data engineering, ML, or heavy document-processing background is a strong plus. • Experience in financial services, construction, real estate, payments, lending, insurance, or other complex B2B environments is a meaningful differentiator, though not required.
