📋 Description

• Own the full commercial lifecycle of supplier purchase orders for assigned mechanical commodity categories, from strategy development through contract execution and change management • Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies optimizing safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance • Lead supplier identification, competitive quoting, and contract negotiations • Allocate demand across suppliers and monitor capacity • Ensure GE Vernova delivery and quality expectations are met • Coordinate purchase order placement and award decisions with Engineering, Quality, and Procurement teams • Resolve complex commercial issues and claims • Build stakeholder alignment • Serve as a subject matter resource for less experienced team members • Travel domestically and internationally up to 20%

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain management within a manufacturing or industrial environment • Significant experience developing sourcing strategies and negotiating supplier contracts • Working knowledge of legal and commercial contract terms • Experience navigating supplier relationships and negotiating effectively • Technical grounding and sound judgment in an industrial environment • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field is nice to have, but not required
