📋 Description

• Perform installation and commissioning on drive systems and power systems at customer sites • Troubleshoot drive and power-system problems at port visits or at sea, diagnose issues, determine resolutions, and implement corrective actions • Perform engineering tasks ensuring technical integrity and proper equipment installation and commissioning • Develop commissioning and maintenance procedures and execute customer training • Perform onsite project management and technical-lead duties to resolve customer issues and provide customer satisfaction • Identify sales opportunities for service agreements, spare parts, training, and upgrades • Provide on-call support in response to customer service calls • Assist in the growth and direction of the North American business • Support engineering teams working on customer upgrade projects • Complete timely service reports and administrative requirements • Perform work onboard vessels in shipyards or offshore under GE/customer safety guidelines • Work extended hours/overtime during peak periods and emergencies • Travel domestically or overseas to customer sites for extended periods • Provide remote troubleshooting and technical support for installation and commissioning

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or Associate's Degree with a minimum 5 additional years of related industry experience, or High School diploma/GED equivalency with a minimum of 8 years of related industry experience • US Person with the ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects • Ability and willingness to travel 85% of the time on short notice • Must be physically fit to board vessels offshore • Potential offshore workers must pass Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) and an offshore survival course, including swimming-pool activities • Ability to execute increasingly complicated assignments requiring engineering skill, creativity, and independent judgment • Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude • Ability to utilize MS Office applications • Ability to work in construction-type onsite environments and around wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risks, trips, slips, falls, and excessive noise • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required onsite or onboard ships • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
