• Perform plant thermal-hydraulic stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, and other safety analyses for BWR plants • Take responsibility for fuel project activities, including reload analyses, Stability methods implementation, new fuel design and introduction, and support for emergent fuel issues • Work in cross-disciplinary settings with mechanical design, core design, licensing, systems design, and affiliated organizations • Coordinate activities with internal and external project managers, technical personnel, and customers • Prepare, document, and present technical data to internal and external customers • Provide technical mentoring for Stability Analysis staff development and knowledge management • Develop and deliver training courses for external commercial requests and internal audiences • Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification • Ensure work meets regulatory rules, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards
• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) from an accredited college or university • Minimum 5 years of experience in plant T-H Stability Safety Analysis and Methods • Eligibility to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, where applicable • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Experience in BWR plant T-H stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, stability setpoints methodology, and frequency and time domain methodologies • Ph.D. and/or M.S. Degree in Nuclear Engineering with experience in T-H modeling as applied to nuclear reactor systems • Experience with BWR technology and BWR Stability analysis supporting regulatory requirements • Knowledge of plant operational support in the Stability area • Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements • Experience with BWR simulator and 3-D neutron kinetics, such as PANAC • Experience with BWR/PWR T/H systems codes such as TRACG, RELAP, and TRACE • Programming experience such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON • Ability to communicate and work effectively within a team environment • Detail-oriented and accountable for completion of work and assignments
