📋 Description

• Design Reactor Modification Tooling incorporating mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical/motor actuation • Draft fabrication drawings and build and test designed tooling • Prepare 3D models, access and clearance studies, drawings, specifications, and test plans • Collaborate with Hardware, Analysis, Field Deployment, and Services Business teams • Perform design reviews with engineering peers and leadership • Write tooling operation procedures for field deployment teams • Provide emergent issue support to customers during Outage Season through technical guidance and fast-paced design, build, and test response

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design and testing, including 2D drawings and 3D modeling • 5 years nuclear industry experience • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable • Strong mechanical aptitude • Experience with the full design evolution process from concept to delivery • Knowledge of design to cost and design for manufacturability • Experience with conventional machining, welding, and EDM • Ability to understand and communicate technical content to engineers, project managers, product managers, and leadership • Strong project planning, scheduling, and execution experience as an engineer or engineering team lead • Ability to successfully lead multi-disciplined teams on first-of-a-kind projects • Nuclear industry experience and understanding of nuclear reactor components highly desirable
