📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of large, high-visibility, potentially high-risk projects and first-of-a-kind solutions for the Electrical Substation and FACTS markets • Serve as the single point of contact for senior-level customer contacts and internal/external project teams • Lead project strategy, planning, resource allocation, processes, and controls for complex work-scope projects • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and technical/engineering standards • Estimate budgets, track and influence project costs, and ensure on-time completion within budget • Participate in pre-contract scope, schedule, and cost development • Coordinate project development, implementation, and control with engineering fields and support functions • Coach Project Specialists, Project Managers, and Engineers to enhance project management skills • Coordinate with providers, subcontractors, and customers on project specifications and requirements • Ensure site safety procedures and adherence to quality standards • Develop contracts and subcontractor work scopes and coordinate written contract administration • Resolve issues through change management and ensure timely collection of monies • Facilitate documentation and quantification of project performance after project completion • Determine and communicate work package percent complete and percent committed for project financial estimate-at-completion forecasting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college • Minimum 8 years experience in project management of electrical substations or relevant experience to the role • Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time, including possible international travel • Must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies • Experience in Synchronous Condensers, STATCOMS, Fixed Series Capacitors preferred • Prior experience in managing high voltage electrical utility projects • Previous responsibility for projects or programs involving multiple businesses and/or functions across the entire project cycle • Ability to manage external, customer-facing projects to successful completion • Ability to apply advanced technical, engineering, and quality assurance concepts • Experience working with global teams and partners • Ability to interface with executive level management • Ability to apply and coach managerial and leadership concepts and techniques • Strong decision-making, communications, interpersonal and leadership skills • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously • PMI/PMP certification preferred; familiarity with modern project management techniques and software systems, including global resource planning systems and Primavera project management software • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities • Familiarity with contractual terms and experience managing customer-facing contracts • Familiarity with preparation of proposals for complex substations, including international work and quality training • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
