• Provide on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants for Steam Turbine Generator Systems • Review plant engineering documents and P&IDs • Troubleshoot plant systems and equipment • Plan, organize, integrate, and direct labor, tools, and materials to complete contractual work scopes • Safely manage maintenance and repair of power-generation equipment • Perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of systems and equipment • Lead outage crews including crafts, union technicians, and onsite services teams • Respond to emergency repair and service requests • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives • Write technical reports, job-status reports, customer reports, timesheets, and expense sheets • Sign off on implemented changes • Drive customer satisfaction and maintain GE Vernova safety standards • Perform maintenance checkouts across a wide range of equipment vintages • Ensure required parts are shipped to the site • Perform installation walk-downs and verify contractor work • Perform site-level aftermarket upgrades • Perform other assigned duties
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited College or University with 3+ years of relevant experience in Power Plant Maintenance, Turbine Maintenance, or Power Plant Equipment Installation or Commissioning; or High School Diploma with 7+ years of relevant experience • Ability to travel 80% annually to and from projects and various field assignments • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport • Successful completion of required training programs • Demonstrated knowledge and experience to actively support an outage • Demonstrated experience with successful installations and outages • Pipe fitting and tubing experience • Fluent in English language • Very good project management skills • Very good oral and written communication skills • Very good interpersonal and leadership skills • Very good business acumen and ability to sell GE Vernova products to the customer • Ability to travel to support customers inside and outside the U.S.A. • Employment contingent upon acceptable pre-employment background and drug screening • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of periodic training and competency requirements
