• Co-develop the Community Oncology strategy and lead Community Cancer Collective efforts in the assigned territory • Support cross-functional field matrix teams and represent Community Oncology with internal and external stakeholders • Develop strategies and implementation plans addressing education, research, Medical Affairs insights, and data-generation needs • Prepare and present scientific data at internal meetings and external advisory boards • Co-create real-world evidence generation plans and initiate studies supporting Trodelvy in breast cancer and potentially other molecules, indications, and disease areas • Provide medical and scientific leadership at scientific meetings and engage US healthcare professionals and patients • Train Gilead colleagues, including MSLs and MKALs, on medical education, grants, and investigator-sponsored or collaborative studies • Lead compliant communication of fair-balanced clinical and scientific presentations to Community Oncology healthcare professionals • Participate in editorial review of scientific content for strategic alignment and accuracy • Critically review investigator-sponsored, collaborative, Phase 3b, and Phase 4 study proposals • Review abstracts and manuscripts resulting from collaborative and real-world evidence studies • Develop, deploy, and appropriately use field tools and resources for the Community Cancer Collective • Lead oncology medical assets through the Medical Review Committee process • Serve as the territory point of contact for cross-functional field matrix teams and support a One Oncology approach • Lead Community Cancer Collective projects and studies, selecting participating sites and developing relationships with opinion leaders and institutional leaders • Resolve complex field obstacles compliantly and collaboratively • Lead vendor and collaborator relationships for the CCC Playbook, newsletters, dashboard, and medical communications • Support strategic planning for US-based oncology societies focused on community engagement • Adhere to pharmaceutical codes, OIG guidelines, Gilead policies, and applicable regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements • As a people leader, create inclusion, develop talent, and empower teams
• Bachelor's Degree and 12 years' experience OR Master's Degree and 10 years' experience OR PhD/PharmD and 8 years' experience • Advanced medical, scientific, or clinical degree such as PhD, MD, PharmD, NP, or PA preferred • Industry experience in Medical Affairs • Oncology experience preferred • Experience working with Community Oncology practices and/or organizations preferred • Strong business acumen and ability to translate scientific expertise into company goals • Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into an actionable work plan • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, relationship-building, negotiating, and communication skills • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality presentations • Excellent project management and organizational skills • Ability to collaborate and partner with internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite and healthcare professionals • Attention to detail and ability to meet timelines in a fast-paced environment • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including interpreting study data and publications • Experience developing abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and slides and presenting at scientific meetings • Must adhere to regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements for clinical trials and Medical Affairs activities • Thorough knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, and GCPs governing clinical trials preferred • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and independence • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, occasionally on short notice, mainly within the United States
