📋 Description

• Provide English-to-Japanese legal translation and/or editing services • Apply strong legal terminology skills and knowledge of U.S. legal, judicial, and technical terminology • Deliver high-quality work remotely • Accept on-demand assignments on an ongoing, as-needed basis • Meet deadlines while maintaining excellent written accuracy

🎯 Requirements

• A minimum of three years of professional experience providing legal translation and/or editing services • Native-level Japanese and English writing skills • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. legal, judicial, and technical terminology in English and Japanese • Bachelor’s degree in a foreign language, linguistics, translation, or a comparable field • Experience using computer-assisted translation tools; Trados experience is preferred • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to meet deadlines • Must be a U.S. citizen • Must be willing to complete security clearance processing, including fingerprinting, if selected • Generally available between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on most weekdays • Able to accept on-demand assignments totaling approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, as needed
