📋 Description

• Research corporate bond and municipal credit risk and issuers • Support a disciplined investment selection and review process for Globe Life Inc. and its affiliates • Research and present specific sectors and relevant constituents for management review • Analyze credit risk through research on corporate and municipal debt issuers • Report ongoing company-specific and industry-wide developments and trends verbally and in writing • Perform reinvestment break-even, scenario, sensitivity, and related analyses • Present industry and sector outlooks • Provide investment recommendations • Collaborate on department and team projects • Provide backup support for team members during vacations and leaves of absence • Perform clerical functions as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (Junior or Senior standing) or a graduate degree (MBA/MSF) in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field, preferred • Minimum 3.0 GPA • Firm understanding and interest in capital markets, including equities, bonds, derivatives, and alternatives • Strong, detail-oriented analytical and reasoning skills • Ability to efficiently analyze large quantities of financial statements and other relevant information • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills • Ability to construct and defend an investment recommendation • Self-starting with demonstrated ownership of assigned sector coverage • Robust computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office • Bloomberg terminal functions are a plus • Interest and/or participation in the CFA Program preferred • Ability to work 40 hours per week • Ability to perform clerical functions as needed • Ability to collaborate on department and team projects • Ability to provide backup support for team members during vacations and/or leaves of absence • Willingness to learn and contribute across different areas within the organization
