📋 Description

• Work with design teams to provide Independent Government Estimates from conceptual design through final design documents • Review project plans and specifications • Use onscreen takeoff software to define all work, including shown or intended options • Work with design consultants to understand and include MEP systems and scope ranges • Prepare project pricing narratives • Develop conceptual budgets from limited information • Review general conditions, schedules, scopes of work, site logistics, and related exhibits • Track and communicate construction and material cost trends • Analyze alternate methods and value-engineering options • Build relationships with clients and design teams • Price change impacts as needed • Report to the Chief Cost Estimator

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 5–10 years of industry experience • 3–5 years of Mii estimating experience on design projects or Gordian pricing for Job Order Contracts • MII2 software experience preferred but not required if experience is in RS Means • Proficiency with estimating software including SAGE, RS Means, Bluebeam, and ONSCREEN Takeoff • Strong math and computer skills; proficiency in MS Office • Ability to understand estimating software and transition to online platforms • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines • Willingness to follow corporate policies • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to identify discrepancies • Security clearance preferred • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance • Valid driver’s license and insurance • Must pass a thorough background check, federal security clearance processes, and comply with GMHILL’s Drug and Alcohol policy, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, and for-cause testing
