📋 Description

• Set technical direction for a team or product at XT, including internal AI tools, client-facing platforms, or packaged services • Make engineers more effective at building software • Work across departments to understand operations and identify opportunities for agentic automation • Shape architecture and engineering standards in partnership with the SVP of Engineering and lead architect • Define architecture roadmaps and lead projects from ambiguous business goals to shipped software • Decide how the team uses AI coding tools, agents, and AI features while considering evaluation, cost, and risk • Partner on AWS Bedrock, RAG, agentic patterns, evaluation pipelines, and production guardrails • Establish AI-native coding workflows with Claude Code • Mentor engineers through pairing and review • Lead design and code reviews • Contribute to system design and build-versus-buy decisions • Work with senior product and AI leadership to deliver strategic outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Experience shipping real products end-to-end • Experience leading AI initiatives and delivering an ambitious AI roadmap • Ability to define architecture roadmaps and make architecture trade-offs • Experience with AWS Bedrock • Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) • Experience with agentic patterns and evaluation pipelines • Knowledge of production guardrails • Experience using Claude Code and AI coding tools • Ability to establish agentic coding workflows, reusable skills, standards, and review gates • Ability to mentor engineers through pairing and code review • Ability to explain technical risks in terms of dates and money • Experience leading design and code reviews • Experience with system design and build-versus-buy decisions • Ability to work with Product, Engineering, Product Operations, Product Operations, Product, and Enablement teams • Ability to collaborate with VP of AI, VP of Product Operations, and EVP of Product
