📋 Description

• End-to-End Accounting: You independently handle our ongoing bookkeeping and contribute across all areas — from bank postings to provisions and accruals, and from accounts receivable to accounts payable. • General Ledger & Closing: You are responsible for the general ledger, prepare our monthly and annual closings in a structured manner, and ensure the quality and reliability of our financial reporting. • Compliance & Reporting: You prepare tax and regulatory filings (e.g., VAT returns, statistical reports) and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: As a core member of the Finance team, you are the primary contact for accounting-related questions and support interaction with external auditors and tax advisors when needed. • Automation & AI: With the goal of making Finance more efficient and scalable, you review existing processes with the team, identify manual workflows, and actively drive automation and the adoption of modern tools.

🎯 Requirements

• Completed commercial training (e.g., tax clerk), a degree in a finance-related field, or further qualification/certification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance-sheet accountant). • Several years of solid experience in accounting, ideally in a dynamic environment, a scale-up, or the tech sector. • Confident user of DATEV (accounting) or a comparable, complex ERP/financial system, as well as digital, system-supported financial processes and routine use of Excel and Google Sheets in daily work. • Structured, reliable and hands-on working style with the ability to work accurately and precisely even during intense closing periods. • Fluent German and strong English skills for collaboration in an international environment. • Residence in the CET time zone (or max ±4 hours difference) to enable efficient day-to-day collaboration.
