• Independently manage daily operations of multiple concurrent federal grants-management projects • Supervise, mentor, and train team members • Lead process documentation and quality-control efforts • Assign and oversee tasks for grants resources • Ensure deliverables are timely and meet quality standards • Serve as point of contact for federal clients • Develop and update SOPs and quality-control procedures • Contribute to client progress and status reports • Attend client meetings and present task and team progress • Document meeting actions and decisions • Draft and maintain project timelines, kickoff agendas, and work plans • Prepare and track grants through review and funding • Review and analyze grant funding, change-in-scope, supplemental, and facilities applications • Engage Head Start Program Directors in monthly regulatory guidance meetings • Provide technical assistance on programmatic and fiscal performance • Liaise with federal and contractor grant and program staff on grant review, award, post-award, and closeout activities • Assist with site visits, desk reviews, and ongoing technical assistance • Prepare written reports for varied stakeholders and audiences
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred • At least 5 years of related grants/casework experience • At least 5 years of grants management experience • At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred • In-depth knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards • Knowledge of the Head Start Enterprise System, Aligned Monitoring System, and Grant Solutions • PMP is a distinguishing feature • Good data analytics skills • Ability to present data clearly to different stakeholders and audiences • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment • Proficiency in reviewing, aggregating, and presenting data from multiple sources • Proven written and verbal presentation skills • Experience developing process documentation, templates, quality-control procedures, checklists, and training • Ability to adjust communication style to customer needs • Ability to work onsite at the Regional Office if needed • Ability to pass background investigations and obtain Public Trust clearance • Ability to travel
