📋 Description

• Research and find solutions to denied claims • Complete portal inquiries and outbound calls to insurance representatives to investigate denial reasons • Resubmit claims with errors using knowledge of CMS 1500 forms and data, coding, and policy errors • Draft appeals for relevant claim denials while adhering to medical policies for all insurance carriers • Ensure patient data in software is accurate and up to date • Contact appropriate personnel about data inconsistencies • Prioritize claim denials using the internal Claim Prio Model • Identify root causes and suggest upstream fixes to reduce denial inflow • Make bulk corrections to claim denials spanning multiple clients with the same denial type • Report to the Supervisor, Collections, and collaborate with four Collections Follow-up Pods • Help optimize the Collections process supporting access to mental healthcare

🎯 Requirements

• 3 years of Medical Billing experience • Proficiency in multitasking and working through different systems • Strong ability to learn and follow processes to seek resolution • Strong team collaboration skills • Experience at a startup in mental health or billing/collections • Knowledge of CMS 1500 forms • Broad understanding of data, coding, and policy errors • Ability to adhere to medical policies for all insurance carriers • Resume must be uploaded in PDF format • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States
