The company provides digital tools and agent services — including agent portals, quoting and mapping tools, mobile apps, training resources, and policy management — and operates as a managing general agency and member of a larger insurance group to deliver coverage, resources, and guidance to agricultural producers.

📋 Description

• Make first contact with policyholders on farms or ranches after a loss • Complete field inspections, read maps and aerial photos, measure fields and storage bins, and collect production records • Assess damage or loss and manage claims through settlement • Work regularly in the field on farms, including climbing grain bins and walking over rough terrain for long distances • Apply ProAg adjusting guidelines and policy provisions to Multi-Peril Crop Insurance, Crop Hail, and Named Peril policies • Perform fact-finding to determine causes and percentages of loss using independent judgment • Escalate unresolved issues to the Area Claims Supervisor • Convey regulations and procedural interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people • Communicate ProAg's position on developing industry topics, specialty crops, and expanding coverage programs • Expand knowledge of RMA rules, regulations, and ProAg procedures for MPCI, Crop Hail, and Federal Crop Insurance • Work from home while covering a San Joaquin Valley territory, with travel up to 75% and occasional travel beyond the assigned territory

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma • Crop insurance experience in claims or compliance or any ag-related experience and background • Analytical skills and attention to detail • Basic computer and internet applications • Communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills • Reliable means of transportation and the willingness to travel • Completion of your Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification and/or any applicable licenses required by State agencies preferred
