📋 Description

• Own the team's quality strategy and define risk-based verification strategies • Determine required evidence at each testing layer and direct exploratory testing toward unfamiliar failure modes • Design automation frameworks, fixtures, and shared patterns for reliable parallel execution • Account for concurrency, asynchronous behavior, and eventual consistency • Own test execution speed, gating, failure classification, and flake discipline • Define synthetic-data strategies, isolation patterns, and CI protections preventing PHI from entering non-production environments • Define environment, observability, and data needs with Platform • Set performance, resilience, accessibility, and security verification depth according to risk • Author versioned, reviewable AI-agent conventions and define boundaries for agent actions without human review • Maintain quality of shipped software across strategy, automation, feedback, and data

🎯 Requirements

• Senior-level experience designing or evolving a team quality system • Strong proficiency in a modern programming language • Deep experience with test frameworks and shared automation architecture • Ability to reason about concurrency, asynchronous workflows, and failure propagation across services • Ability to trace failing tests across services using logs, traces, and deployment context • Experience distinguishing product, automation, data, and environment root causes • Experience owning synthetic-data strategy and deterministic isolation, including provisioning, reset, and non-production safeguards for sensitive data • Deep expertise in at least one non-functional area: performance, resilience, security, or accessibility • Ability to communicate residual risk clearly to Engineering and Product • Experience working AI-first and establishing conventions for agent use and human review • Bonus: experience with failure injection or recovery testing in production-like environments • Bonus: experience in healthcare, another regulated domain, or systems handling sensitive customer data
