📋 Description

• Assist the CDI Director with new client implementations and engagements • Collaborate with facility CDI teams to meet contractual obligations and achieve best-practice CDI metrics • Develop or update CDI policies, procedures, processes, and initiatives • Ensure efficient utilization of CDI technology, including data entry, reporting, tracking, and implementation • Assist with client month-end reporting, analyses, KPI monitoring, and trend tracking • Develop CDI education materials and assist with staff and physician training • Oversee daily CDI program activities including productivity, quality, auditing, report management, performance improvement, and standardized practices • Support concurrent record reviews, query initiation and follow-up, and query compliance reviews • Monitor CDI program performance, coding and query compliance, and regulatory alignment • Approve CDI timesheets, complete performance evaluations, develop performance improvement plans, and monitor learning-module compliance • Communicate program updates, risks, and needs to the VP Operations, CDI Director, and department Directors; escalate issues as necessary • Build relationships with facility leadership, client staff, physicians, and Guidehouse staff • Lead meetings and facilitate client and internal deliverables for senior-level audiences • Assist with proposals and participate in recruiting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree • At least one of the following: RN, MD or MD equivalent • Must maintain the credential while employed • 7+ years acute care hospital CDI experience • 3+ years prior management experience • Familiarity with encoder and DRG assignment (MS and APR) • Strong clinical understanding of disease processes • Current working knowledge of Coding Clinic Guidelines and federal updates to DRG systems (MS, APR, AP, etc.) • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and disease processes • Excellent communication skills, employing tact and effectiveness • Ability to converse with physicians in difficult scenarios • Ability to conduct presentations to facility physicians and leadership • CCDS or CDIP credential preferred • RHIA, RHIT, or CCS Certification listed as nice to have
