📋 Description

• Lead the technical and methodological backbone of Guidewire Professional Services across five global practices • Own global technical methodology, architecture standards, integration patterns, implementation methods, design patterns, and code standards • Maintain and govern practice IP, including toolkits, accelerators, and reference architectures • Set and enforce the engineering quality bar for implementations and partners • Define multi-year practice capability roadmaps supporting new products, delivery models, and AI-accelerated implementation • Integrate AI methods and tools into technical practice methodology in partnership with the PS AI CoE • Partner with Product, Platform, and AI engineering to align practice capabilities with product roadmaps • Champion productization of repeatable services solutions and own their technical quality • Build a world-class bench of architects, technical experts, and methodologists • Define technical career paths and leveling expectations for practice talent • Drive workforce planning, utilization, productivity, and succession planning across practices • Serve as senior technical voice on strategic deals, technical pre-sales, complex proposals, and at-risk program escalations • Set technical standards and certification alignment for SI partners • Build partner enablement tools, training, and reference assets • Influence partner ecosystem strategy • Represent Guidewire externally at customer briefings, advisory councils, SI partner summits, analyst engagements, and industry forums

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years in technology services, software implementation, or enterprise consulting • Significant time in a practice or capability leadership role • Proven track record leading a global, multi-practice or multi-discipline technical organization at scale • Deep experience implementing complex enterprise software, ideally in insurance, financial services, or a comparable regulated industry • Demonstrated experience driving technical methodology and engineering rigor in cloud-based delivery models • Experience integrating AI and automation into delivery practices, including agentic tooling, code-gen, document ingestion, and intelligent automation • Experience operating in or alongside a major SI partner ecosystem • Strategy-setting leadership for a global function • Ability to build alignment across executives, regions, partners, and customers • Technical credibility with senior architects and engineers • Experience building future-ready leaders and capabilities and leading transformations in skills, methodology, and ways of working • Executive presence and ability to represent Guidewire externally at the highest levels • Preferred: P&C insurance domain depth, or comparable depth in another core-systems-driven regulated industry • Preferred: Prior CTO, Chief Architect, or VP of Engineering experience in a services or product company • Preferred: Track record building or scaling a global practice function from earlier-stage to enterprise scale
