📋 Description

• Execute data strategy and analysis efforts within the enterprise data platform • Partner with business unit leaders and Product, Data & Technology teams to assess data and analytics needs • Elicit data requirements and research internal systems of record and publicly available data sources • Requisition and obtain private data sources to support business needs • Identify translation and transformation requirements for sourced data • Improve sourced data quality through curation, validation rules, and maintenance of Master Data tables • Maintain the Logical Data Dictionary with lineage, stewardship, custodianship, versioning, and audit-trail information • Reconcile and validate dashboards and reports • Document functional and non-functional business requirements for data collection, loading, transformation, curation, processing, visualization, and insight distribution • Identify process improvements, automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for scalability • Provide actionable insights on customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and business performance metrics • Identify PII and define masking, processing, and access-control rules • Document BCP/DR and high-availability and recoverability requirements for data architecture • Assess accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques • Define KPIs and document processes for monitoring data warehouse performance and data accuracy • Mentor less experienced data professionals and share reusable artifacts and domain knowledge • Participate in stakeholder reviews and design sessions • Provide data, reports, and information to management • Monitor trends and technology-related errors and develop cross-functional solutions • Resolve high-level issues • Monitor platform usage, database sizes, compute resources, and third-party costs • Champion data transformation and new ways of working • Manage communications, partnerships, and stakeholder relationships with senior leaders and staff • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related quantitative field is required • Master's Degree in business administration (MBA) or related to the position or equivalent, preferred • Minimum 5 years' experience in Data Analyst related role(s), including two years in a senior technical level role(s) • Proficiency eliciting business requirements, documenting user stories, analyzing data sources, and assessing data quality • Proficiency in data analysis, technical documentation, logical data dictionaries, data validation rules, acceptance criteria, SDLC methodologies such as Scrum, and ITSM – ITILv4 • Experience identifying data integration needs using ETL tools and modern data pipes • Experience querying and analyzing SQL relational databases including AuroraDB, IBM DB2, MemSQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, and Snowflake • Experience querying and analyzing NoSQL databases including Cassandra, DynamoDB, Redis, and MongoDB • Experience collecting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in various formats from internal systems and third-party providers • Experience using Microsoft Office, Google G-Suite, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft SharePoint • Experience performing root cause analysis on data and processes • Strong analytical, data governance, communication, leadership, interpersonal, team-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment • Ability to think critically and evaluate facts, data, downstream impacts, and risks • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications • Commitment to company values • Ability to adhere to and apply established process protocols • Ability to work Monday–Friday during the business week • Travel 5% or less • Must be able to work primarily sedentary and use a computer keyboard and mouse frequently
