📋 Description

• Develop client relationships and provide U.S. tax preparation, planning, and audit representation services to U.S. expat clients through a virtual tax platform • Conduct tax interviews and analyze international tax issues to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for U.S. taxpayer clients • Follow internal guidelines for review and referral of tax returns • Provide tax information and feedback to clients and refer unresolved concerns to management • Work with client relationship professional staff to finalize tax returns and provide filing instructions • Research unclear tax issues using internal resources • Attend paid training and participate in ongoing continuing education • Develop knowledge of foreign tax and financial systems to enhance client experience • Read business and tax publications as recommended by management • Assist in transitioning acquired clients to the H&R Block brand • Use global experience, education, or insights to build rapport and provide service to clients in assigned countries • Seek new clients through referrals and develop and execute client acquisition plans

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience • Ability to communicate tax and financial advice clearly and effectively with the public in a variety of situations, including public speaking engagements • Ability to learn quickly and ask questions • Circular 230 credentials (Enrolled Agent, CPA, or Attorney) or willingness to obtain within one year of employment • Previous customer service experience • Effective time management skills, including handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Suite applications, which may include virtual tools • 1 year minimum related work experience • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages • Prior experience preparing taxes for U.S. expatriates
