📋 Description

• Support tax advisors and senior tax staff providing U.S. tax services to U.S. citizens and residents living outside the United States • Analyze expatriate tax client information to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for senior staff review • Develop expertise in U.S. expat tax issues, including tax treaties, foreign tax credits, income and housing exclusions, overseas self-employment, international social security, foreign bank account reporting, FATCA, PFIC taxation, income sourcing, state tax residency, offshore disclosure programs, streamlined compliance, foreign retirement arrangements, foreign trusts, foreign rentals, foreign limited entities, and relinquishment of U.S. citizenship or green card status • Research unclear tax issues using internal resources • Remain current with company tax-preparation policies and procedures and offerings of other financial products • Attend required training • Develop knowledge of foreign tax and financial systems in assigned countries to enhance client experience • Read business and tax publications as recommended by management • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in accounting or 2+ years of tax preparation or similar tax experience • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to communicate tax and financial advice clearly and effectively with the public via phone, email, and video conference calls with expat clients • Prior experience working with expatriate tax clients (preferred) • Circular 230 credential, e.g. EA, CPA, JD (preferred) • Foreign language capabilities (preferred)
