📋 Description

• Provide post-sales support for HPE network products • Work daily with the customer remotely or at the customer’s location • Provide technical and operational support for network issues, certification, and testing • Understand customer organizational structure and network implementation and support processes • Hold network information-gathering workshops to understand existing and new network designs • Test new tools, features, functionality, patches, and software fixes in laboratory and network environments • Develop implementation and verification plans for live network deployment • Hold technology workshops, discuss equipment and network problems, and provide case-status updates • Support design and planning of Juniper MX, QFX, EX series, and associated solutions • Define best-practice policies for Juniper/HPE product applications • Share lessons learned with other Resident Engineers to minimize upgrade and network-change risks • Develop secondary skills in other HPE products • Communicate with internal JTAC, escalation, engineering teams, and the customer • Analyze trends to deliver more efficient customer network solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience • 7 years’ experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products • Experience in LAN, WAN, or Internet services environments • Experience in a technology vendor or service provider environment • JNCIE/CCIE Service Provider or equivalent JUNOS CLI experience across MX, QFX, and EX series • Expert IP/routing experience with OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6, and routing policy • Knowledge of routing protocol operation, migration, and scaling mechanisms • Knowledge of routing policies at BGP peering points • Knowledge of VPNs and tunneling technologies including MPLS, EVPN, L3VPN, and VPLS • Knowledge of Ethernet switching, 802.1Q, and QoS • Knowledge of software-defined networking • Strong interpersonal, customer-interface, presentation, communication, and project-management skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Ability to manage multiple projects and work calmly under pressure • Programming and scripting experience preferred, including Python, Ruby, shell, awk, or SLAX • Familiarity with management tools and network analyzers • Understanding of protocols used in IP service-provider networks • Understanding of BGP and route-reflector topologies • Scripting skills in SLAX, Python, or Ansible • Cloud architecture experience • Database experience is a plus • Ability to provide occasional on-call weekend support and work longer hours when required • Willingness to travel less than 10%
