📋 Description

• Perform audits of halal food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic facilities, supply chains, and related processes • Evaluate documentation, procedures, and practices for compliance with halal certification requirements • Assess halal management systems and identify areas for improvement • Prepare detailed audit reports covering non-conformities, observations, and corrective-action recommendations • Communicate audit findings to clients and provide compliance guidance • Provide technical support and advice on implementing and improving halal systems • Verify effective implementation of corrective actions • Ensure certified organizations maintain ongoing compliance with applicable standards • Participate in training and professional development • Collaborate with auditors, technical managers, and certification decision-makers • Support development and improvement of audit protocols and certification processes • Travel to domestic and international client sites for on-site audits

🎯 Requirements

• Applications accepted only from candidates based in the United States • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or a related field • Additional certifications in halal auditing (e.g., lead auditor, FSSC 22000, or equivalent) are highly desirable • Prior experience as a halal and/or food quality auditor or in implementing halal and/or food safety management systems • In-depth understanding of halal, halal dietary laws, and halal production requirements • Knowledge of halal and food safety standards, including GSO, OIC/SMIIC, ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC, and FSSC 22000 • Familiarity with halal production processes, supply chain management, and regulatory requirements • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions • Attention to detail and ability to work independently • Proficiency in report writing and documentation • Ethical and impartial, with commitment to maintaining certification-process integrity • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines • Frequent travel to client sites, including remote or rural locations • Flexible working hours to accommodate audit schedules and client needs
