• Provide field support services and assist safety leadership, regional managers, supervisors, and team members with implementing and enforcing safety and health policies • Provide day-to-day compliance support • Conduct routine compliance inspections, observations, field inspections, site reviews, and joint compliance walks • Deliver and develop safety-related training, including new-hire safety orientation • Coach employees and contract partners on safe and unsafe conditions • Serve as the field safety point of contact with utility and client representatives • Document deficiencies and develop sustainable corrective solutions • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action identification • Review safety data and metrics to identify trends and recommend corrective actions • Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are present • Recommend disciplinary action for safety violations • Identify, evaluate, and coordinate new methods to accelerate safety improvement • Maintain safety recordkeeping
• 1–3 years of experience in utility vegetation management, line clearance, or arboriculture • Associate's degree in occupational safety, safety management, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record meeting company and insurance standards • Current First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire • OSHA, ANSI Z133, DOT, and other applicable regulatory standards knowledge • Prior field general foreman, crew foreman, or trainer experience is a plus • OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred • CUSP, CTSP, ISA Certified Arborist, or ISA Utility Specialist certification preferred, or willingness to obtain • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required • Ability to deliver group presentations and training sessions • Ability to prioritize tasks accurately under time constraints • Ability to document field observations, incident findings, and corrective actions thoroughly • Ability to travel to job sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Proficiency with tablets, laptops, safety applications, GPS, and Microsoft Office • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
