📋 Description

• Establish, lead, and continuously evolve Harbor’s global compliance function • Report directly to the General Counsel • Design and improve the global compliance program, strategy, operating model, governance framework, and roadmap • Create scalable policies, processes, internal controls, and enterprise compliance standards • Recommend organizational structure, technology investments, and resource needs • Draft and maintain global compliance policies and procedures • Lead internal investigations, ethics matters, whistleblower reporting, and case management • Conduct compliance risk assessments and monitor global regulatory developments • Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs • Create executive dashboards, KPIs, metrics, and reporting • Coordinate external advisors and consultants • Conduct compliance due diligence during acquisitions and develop post-close integration plans • Harmonize compliance practices across acquired businesses and build repeatable integration playbooks • Design scalable operating processes and identify automation opportunities • Evaluate and implement compliance technology solutions • Support internal and external audit activities • Oversee policy governance, lifecycle management, record retention, monitoring, and testing • Partner with the General Counsel, Executive Leadership Team, Human Resources, Finance, Information Security, Corporate Development, and external counsel • Build Harbor’s first enterprise-wide compliance function and establish Compliance as a strategic growth partner

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required • 8–12+ years of progressive compliance, legal, ethics, or regulatory experience • Experience building or significantly transforming a corporate compliance program • Experience supporting global organizations across multiple jurisdictions • Strong experience developing governance frameworks, policies, and internal controls • Demonstrated success leading internal investigations and ethics programs • Experience developing enterprise compliance training and awareness initiatives • Strong project management and organizational skills • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities • Ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority • Preferred: experience within a private equity-backed organization • Preferred: experience supporting a rapidly scaling business • Preferred: professional services, consulting, technology, or legal industry experience • Preferred: experience supporting domestic and international acquisitions • Preferred: experience integrating acquired businesses into enterprise governance frameworks • Preferred: experience implementing governance or compliance technology platforms • Preferred: Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or comparable certification • Builder’s mindset and ability to create scalable enterprise capabilities • Strong operational orientation and willingness to personally execute critical work • Commercial judgment balancing business objectives with risk management • Comfort operating in a private equity-backed, high-growth environment • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills supported by data-driven decision making • Executive presence and confidence influencing and appropriately challenging senior leaders
