📋 Description

• Provide guidance and oversight on fiscal, administrative, and regulatory management of grants, contracts, and sponsored programs from award receipt through closeout • Create budget reconciliation and forecasting reports • Meet regularly with faculty to review financial situations • Review and approve expenditures • Ensure compliance with effort-reporting requirements • Submit payroll changes for faculty and staff • Prepare timely journal entries and grant close-outs • Prepare grants and develop budgets • Submit application forms • Respond to sponsor requests • Work directly with Principal Investigators • Interface with central administrative offices to ensure applications meet university, school, and sponsor requirements • Support research across nine academic departments and a wide range of sponsors

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience • 3+ years of pre- and post-award management experience, including federal and non-federal awards • Bachelor’s degree • Certified Research Administrator (CRA) • Experience working with investigators on the management of complex research awards • Experience working with a variety of sponsors • Intermediate Excel skills • Advanced working knowledge of research compliance issues and key federal grant regulations • Understanding of human subject use, animal use, and other research compliance areas • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Outstanding attention to detail • Problem-solving skills and ability to be flexible • Must meet work location sponsorship requirements • Harvard University is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position
