The organization operates across 16 states plus Washington, DC, working with over 1,000 employers and impacting around 550,000 workers in various healthcare settings including home care, skilled nursing facilities, clinics, and hospitals. H-CAP is committed to increasing equity in the healthcare workforce and supporting its stakeholders in navigating changes within the industry.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and strengthen registered apprenticeship programs in healthcare • Work in partnership with labor-management organizations, unions, employers, education providers, workforce boards, and other stakeholders • Conduct informational sessions in various formats for stakeholders • Plan and implement at least 5 meetings for 10 or more stakeholders interested in Registered Apprenticeship Programs • Recruit at least 25 employers to start or expand registered apprenticeship programs • Identify apprenticeable occupations, create standards, and support standards approval • Support creation of multi-employer apprenticeship programs • Create materials supporting Registered Apprenticeship outreach • Collaborate with H-CAP’s Data and Communications team on promotional and marketing efforts • Track deliverables for grant and contract compliance • Enter accurate and timely data into tracking systems • Gather data and write progress reports • Work closely with H-CAP’s Registered Apprenticeship team, leadership, labor-management partners, and affiliated organizations • Conduct work primarily remotely, with travel to program sites or national events as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Deep knowledge and experience working with healthcare employers and stakeholders on workforce development issues • Ability to reach out to healthcare consortia, certifying bodies, industry associations, and related stakeholders • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and workforce development • Knowledge of Registered Apprenticeship and the Registered Apprenticeship System • Experience with post-secondary education and adult education programs • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience • Excellent project coordination and organizational skills • Ability to work independently • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • Ability and comfort presenting to a variety of audiences using virtual and in-person formats • Work experience or familiarity with union or labor-management environments • Existing connections with healthcare employers, industry associations, unions, labor-management organizations, workforce boards, and education partners • Submit a cover letter, resume, approach summary, weekly availability, and references if requested
